I am pleased to enclose my CV for your consideration. I graduated from the London South Bank University in BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance which also gave me exemption from ACCA fundamentals level. I am currently studying for the final ACCA papers. I recently finished a post graduate programme in MSc International finance at Kingston University and did my dissertation in mergers and acquisitions.
I have the practical skills to enable me to understand and prepare accounts from source documents to the balance sheet. My voluntary job with James Wright & Co Chartered Certified Accountants involves financial accounting role of which, I prepare clients accounts, designing an accounting system, account codes, opening balances, writing and posting day books from invoices and other accounting source documents, bank reconciliation, accruals and prepayments and other journals, control accounts, debtors and creditors schedules, trial balance, profit & loss and balance sheets as well as maintenance of sales/purchase and nominal ledger.
I have the experience of using spreadsheet to prepare clients accounts such as an extended trial balance, incomplete records, and the completion of self-assessment, reconciliation of VAT control and the completion of VAT returns.
I have strong IT skills covering word processing and spreadsheets, sage line 50, IRIS and data stream. My telephone manner is efficient and polite and I have experience of dealing with all types of people from my voluntary job at James Wright & Co Chartered Certified Accountants, and my job with Group4Securicor. These jobs also taught me organisational and administration skills, flexibility and how to stay calm under pressure.
